Our Rehearsal and Dinner
After over a year of planning and preparation, the weddings are over. I feel incredibly spoiled that I not only got one perfect wedding, but two! I am humbled and honored by the great outpouring of love, compassion and help that Chris and I received and I don't think I'm allowed to ever stop thanking everyone involved.
First, I'd like to thank my parents for giving me the most perfect wedding I could ever possibly imagine. The whole thing was beautiful and personal from beginning to end. Mom, thank you thank you thank you for all the hard work you put into this. Everything came out perfectly and I couldn't be happier.
Marsha and David, thank you so much for all your hard work! The food at the Humboldt wedding was amazing and our friends have not stopped raving about it. I don't know what we were thinking, assuming we could cook for all those people ourselves! You saved our butts big time! Thank you to the incredibly helpful Kathy, who unwittingly agreed to assist in the catering of the Humboldt wedding and rounded out Three Stooges Catering. You are an incredibly brave woman and I thank you! Extra thanks to my new Mom-in-law Marsha for procuring all the fantastic wine that I never got a chance to enjoy at both weddings. (Who knew that even if food is physically placed in front of you, you'll still only have time for a couple bites?)
Big big thanks to Roy and Diana for hosting the rehearsal dinner! The location was supremely convenient, the food was broadly varied and quite tasty and the company was impeccable. It was so nice to have a chunk of time set aside to socialize with our families and with the bridal party. Even with the best of intentions, it was near impossible to spend as much time with our wedding guests individually as we would have liked. I am very thankful to have you as in-laws and I'm so glad you and my parents were able to spend some time together.
What I think was one of the neatest things for Chris and I, was seeing
our friends from different social groups and even different ends of the
state socializing together and forming their own friendships. Our
friends mean a great deal to us and we think they're pretty special
people and it's a cool thing to see people come together and forming new bonds through this event.
And with that, I bring you the pictures from our rehearsal at Hartely Botanica and our rehearsal dinner at Grinder Deli. Unfortunate name, tasty food.

Megan and I are SO EXCITED for the big day!!! It was so great to see her and awesome she lived so close to the venue!
The ceremony space was set up for a wedding that was to occur directly following our rehearsal. They had a weird floral chandelier thing... Chris wanted to eat it.
I didn't believe the coordinator when she said they made the new men's changing area out of a shipping container. I stand corrected. This is the men's changing room.
In the foreground is our fantastic day-of coordinator, Karen. She kept us heading in the right direction and doing the things we needed to be doing. Little Corryn's face is priceless. Yes, it was chaotic enough to make a 6-year-old say, "Oh brother!"
What about this chandelier looks so edible? I guess I just don't see it. Get it Sophie!
Big hugs for the flower girl!
We're ready!
Nice shot of Roy, Diana, and the side of my mom's head. :)
Mark and Janna think weddings is serious business. Can't you tell?
My beautiful Maid of Honor.
Much love to the best (wo)man Corinne.
"Woohoo!"
The lovely Miss Erika.
"I've got my eye on you..."
Marsha and David feeling fancy and fabulous!
Too cool with Dad.
Yay, Ashley!

The Wedding of Joe and Sandy!
2014 is a great year! Not only are Chris and I getting married, but lots of other people we love dearly are getting hitched as well. Last weekend was my cousin, Joe's wedding. Below are a few pictures from that day. (I will probably add more once I get the reception pictures off my camera.)
Congratulations, Joe and Sandy!
